NOTICE OF VACANCY ON GOVERNING BOARD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on December 6, 2022, the Board of Directors of the Pinedale County Water District declared that there existed a vacancy on the Board of Directors of the Pinedale County Water District and that it was the desire of the remaining Board members to fill the vacant position.
Pursuant to Government Code §1780, a copy of this NOTICE OF VACANCY is being posted in three or more conspicuous places in the District and pursuant to said section, appointment to this vacancy may be made by the Board of Directors of the Pinedale County Water District fifteen (15) days after such posting.
Persons interested in being appointed to the vacant position, which shall run through the next general District election, must be a citizen of the United States, age eighteen (18) or older, and must vote in and be a resident of the Pinedale County Water District. The person elected at the next general District election (November 2024) shall serve the unexpired balance of the term (December 2026) of the vacant position. Candidates may pick up a Director Nominee Application at the Pinedale County Water District office, located at 480 W. Birch Avenue. Interviews will be held at a public hearing and an appointment will be made at a regular meeting of the Board of Directors on January 31, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at the District office.
I, JoAnn Vierra, Secretary to the Board of Directors of the Pinedale County Water District, hereby declare, under penalty of perjury, that I will, either personally or under my personal supervision, cause to be posted a NOTICE OF VACANCY ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS to be conspicuously displayed at the District office, Fresno County Library/Pinedale location, and PCWD Site #8, located within the Pinedale County Water District on or before the 15th day of January, 2023.
